Continued work on Rossford water lines frustrates drivers

Manystreets in Rossford are still a mess after months of construction.

Thework has been going on since March on seven residential roads to fix the city'saging water lines, some of which are more than 50 years old. But some residentssay they have been stuck in construction zones for too long.

"It'sbeen a real pain," said Kristy Plunkett. "It's just been constant. We just can'tget anywhere around here. Everywhere you try to go, it's blocked and all theholes in the streets are really wearing and tearing on our cars and on ourlife."

Theold pipes are made out of iron and are easily corroded. They're being replacedwith plastic PVC lines that will last longer.

TheOhio EPA announced they will fund the project at a cost of nearly $1.3 million.

Whilenavigating closed roads is a headache for drivers, the project will ultimatelyimprove water pressure throughout the city.
