Seneca County Fair kicks off 171st year

SENECA COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The 171st Seneca County Fair is underway, and people say there's something for everyone that visits.

Guests will find everything from turkey competitions to baby animals and rides.

Rain on Monday caused a bit of a mess in the parking lots, and many fairgoers left with muddy cars, but they aren't letting the weather put a damper on their fun.

Tuesday was Senior Day, which brought many people out, including the Junior Fair King.

"I get to go around the fair and in the community, and I get to pretty much show myself and support the fair greatly," said Michael Lasky. "It means a lot to be their fair king."

The fair runs through July 28. For more information, visit the fair website here.
