Reds, library team up for Redlegs Reading Week

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County are teaming up for Redlegs Reading Week.

From July 22-27, kids can meet Reds mascots and the Reds Rover at select library locations. 

The Reds Rover will be at the following branches:

 

  • Corryville, 2802 Vine Street, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 22
  • Monfort Heights, 3825 West Fork Road, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23
  • Cheviot, 3711 Robb Avenue, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 24
  • North Central, 11109 Hamilton Avenue, 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, July 25
  • Sharonville, 10980 Thornview Drive, noon to 2 p.m., Friday, July 26
Mascots will make appearances at the following times and locations:
  • Mr. Redlegs: Monday, July 22, 11 a.m. to noon, Harrison, 1038 New Haven Rd.
  • Mr. Red: Thursday, July 25, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., College Hill, 1400 W. North Bend Rd.
  • Gapper: Friday, July 26, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Deer Park, 3970 E. Galbraith Rd.
In addition, library users are invited to take advantage of discounts for the following games:
  • Reds Summer Reading Days, Sunday, Aug. 4 vs. the Cardinals, 1:10 p.m.
  • Reds Library Night, Monday, Aug. 19, vs. the Diamondbacks, 7:10 p.m.
  • Reds Library Night, Tuesday, Sept. 10 vs the Cubs, 7:10 p.m.

     The Toledo Police Department is searching for a 13-year-old boy who has been missing since Wednesday.  Police say Jordan Phillips was last seen on Wednesday around 2 p.m. Police say Phillips was supposed to be at the East Toledo Community Center around that time, but never showed up.  He is described as a white male standing at 5'3" and weighing 120 pounds.
