This stay of unusually warm October weather has a countdown to cool. Highs will stay in the 70s and even reach to just shy of record 80s on Saturday before it all comes to a close. The end of the warmth begins late Sunday evening as showers sweep across the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. This late weekend system will be just the start to a cooler pattern next week; that will bring our coolest temperatures of the season so far.

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Peopleliving next to Rivercrest in Perrysburg say their kids can't play ball at acity park they're paying taxes for.

Now,a possible addition to the park could make it even harder for neighborhoodchildren to play.

Onlyone of the four baseball diamonds at the park has lights, but that could soonchange. Some neighbors say installing more lights at other diamonds would meanmore noise, later games, and a more adult crowd. But that's not even theirbiggest concern.

"I'mpaying for these fields and parks, but we're not allowed to use them," saidKathy Smith.

Accordingto Smith, the fields are rented out to various leagues, making it hard for thepublic to play a pick-up game.

"I'vegot people across the street from me who have to play on their side yard. Ourcars are on the street, they're getting hit with balls," she said.

Smithsays lighting more fields means it will be even harder to find a time to play.

"Itwas just very aggravating to me that I have to call someone to use a field, andan adult has to be there, apparently, with the kids. I find that a littleridiculous."

Perrysburgcity officials could not be reached for comment.
