Man accused of trying to break into home, stomping on kitten

LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) -

A man is facing several charges after police say he tried to break into a home and stomped on a kitten.

Samuel Irvin, 32, is charged with two counts of animal cruelty and one count of criminal trespassing.

According to Hamilton County court records, Irvin tried break into a home on McLaren Avenue in Lockland. Police were called several times during the night for a disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased kitten at the side of the house and it appeared the defendant had stomped on it.

He was scheduled for an arraignment on Friday morning.
