TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are searching for a man responsible for shooting another man and sending him to the hospital Monday morning.

Police say James Reditt shot a man in the leg at a home on Winthrop in the Old West End.

According to police, Reditt pulled up in a vehicle and started to argue with the other man, who was sitting on the front porch. He then left and returned with a handgun and fired at the victim as he tried to run away.

Two days later, police were able to issue a warrant for Reditt.

"[We've been] tracking down leads, tracking down vehicles, and figuring out who matches the descriptions, doing photo arrays, basic police work," said TPD Sgt. Joe Heffernan. "And we were able to come to the realization that it was indeed Mr. Reditt."

Reditt should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
