Police: Dangerous suspect wanted for double shooting outside west Toledo bar

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are looking for a man that opened fire in the parking lot of Upton Bar and Grill early Wednesday morning.

Police say Anthony Smith was actually out on bond for a shooting at an after-hours spot on Dorr and Pelee in May. That shooting left a man with a bullet lodged near his heart.

On Wednesday, Smith shot a man and woman, sending them to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, it started with an argument at the bar shortly after midnight. They say Smith pulled out a gun and started firing.

Smith is considered extremely dangerous, but police say he has some distinguishing features.

"He only has one functional eye, so he kind of has a milky or glass-looking eye on his left eye," explained TPD Sgt. Joe Heffernan. "In addition to that, he has multiple tattoos all over his body - his face, his neck, his arms, and his torso."

Police warn people not to approach Smith, but if you have any information that can help them get Smith off the streets, call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
