Boy hit by car in West Springfield dies

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police confirmed to CBS 3 that the 6-year-old boy, who was hit by a car on Thursday night, has died.

The young boy was hit, while he crossed Main Street around 6:30 p.m.

Witnesses say he was a few feet behind his mom.

The boy was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where police said he died on Saturday.

As of now, no charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
