FultonCounty commissioners are looking at what it would take to get a new publictransportation system up and running.
Theysay they hear it over and over again from local organizations and communitymembers.
"Moreand more people are asking, ‘Please find a way,' to get to the doctor's and thegrocery store and that sort of thing," said Commissioner Paul Barnaby. "We arehearing the citizens. They made it explicit that it is important."
Socommissioners say they're looking into it. They're taking the first steps into researchingand finding the most effective way to provide that service.
Leadersfrom the Fulton County Job and Family Services Department are behind the pushas well. They say public transportation is vital to the success of those in thecounty who need a way to get to work or doctor's appointments.
Commissionersheld a public meeting on the topic Wednesday, and say they plan to have anotheragain soon.
