1 dead after Hancock Co. accident Monday

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Biglick Township.

Around 2 p.m., a Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Township Road 251 when the driver failed to yield to a Honda Pilot traveling westbound on County Road 7.

Deputies say the Pilot was driven by Wynter Jones, 34, from Tiffin. Mariel Andrews, 19, of Bellevue was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were wearing seatbelts and were transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the Accord was killed. Their name has been withheld pending family notification.

The crash remains under investigation.
