Toledo self-serve fro-yo shop offers guilt-free desserts

Along with the summer heat comes the taste for ice cream. Locals in the Toledo area won't have to go too far to fill their craving.

Koala Berry Premium Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream, opened up shop in mid-December at Regency Plaza in Toledo. In addition to traditional ice cream, Koala Berry offers frozen yogurt treats, which are a lower fat, less sugary alternative, with the same great taste. Customers will find 70 different options for toppings in store, including fresh fruits purchased and cut up daily.

A unique feature offered at Koala Berry is its self-service set-up. Customers can design their own desert with toppings, ranging from peanut butter cups, coconut cream, and strawberries, to name a few.

Koala Berry is located at 6710 Central Ave., Suite 7. It is open 7-days a week, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon-8 p.m.
