Man arrested for DWI after driving into Longview supermarket

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

One man has been arrested after he drove his car into a Longview supermarket Sunday morning.

Longview Police arrested the man on DWI charges after officials say he drove through the McCann and Loop 281 intersection then crashed his car into Albertson's This store is located in the 36-hundred block of McCann road.

Employees at the store say that a car drove into the store-front, causing significant damage. The employee also tells KLTV that there was another employee that was standing very close to where the car hit moments prior to the car hitting the building.

Luckily no injuries were reported in this incident. Officials tell KLTV that the man who's name has not yet been released, will be arranged on Monday.

    A portion of State Route 795 will soon be named after someone who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Belkofer, a Rossford High School graduate, was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.
