Walbridge, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Wood County village is celebrating it's centennial this weekend.
Walbridge is turning 100 years old.
There is a big bash being held this weekend at Loop Park.
A history lesson on Walbridge can be found in one building featuring pictures of the village and residents over the years.
Throughout the park there are rides, food vendors and a health fair.
"They may not know it's a railroad town and if it weren't for the railroads, we wouldn't be here. So they've been our business from the beginning," said Walbridge Centennial Committee member, Darlene Limmer.
The celebration wraps up Saturday night with a beer tent and live entertainment from Larry and the Ridgerunners.
3,000 residents now call Walbridge home.
