Home catches fire 2 days in a row in north Toledo

Toledo firefighters battled a house fire at an occupied north Toledo residence two days in a row. At least one of the fires is being called suspicious.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Firefighters gained control of an early morning house fire in north Toledo for the second time.

According to fire crews on the scene, someone called 911 around 6 a.m. Wednesday, after spotting smoke coming from a home on the 800 block of Galena Street.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames. Crews say the home is occupied but residents were forced out after the first fire.

Firefighters responded to a fire at the same home Tuesday, saying the blaze appeared to be suspicious. Crews reportedly found devices for setting fires inside the home.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but the incident is under investigation.
