TROOPERS: Pedestrian meant to get hit on SB 71

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

An Amelia woman is hit by a by a Mack truck on southbound 71.

Ohio State Police say Erica Fries, 26, was hit Wednesday morning on 71, near the Fields Ertel exit.

The preliminary investigation indicates the act was intentional on behalf of Fries. 

She was transported to Bethesda North Hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the truck, Larry Bridges Jr., 36, of Wyoming, MI is also being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The right two lanes of southbound 71 were closed for a few hours but everything was opened back up just before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
