Construction on I-75/475 interchange nearly complete

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

ODOT officials say drivers can expect to get some relief from construction on the I-75/475 interchange by the end of 2013. 

The interchange upgrade is a three year project that cost $63.9 million. 

Right now, ODOT workers say they are in the final stages of construction. They will be finishing up interchange ramp work, widening I-475 from Monroe St. to I-75, and completing bridge work. 

This Friday into Saturday ODOT will be closing the I-475 eastbound ramp to I-75 northbound. There will also be bridge work over Central Ave. and Upton, and periodic work on other bridges. 

ODOT says drivers should slow down and should not go past any closed road signs.
