TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The mother of missing east Toledo toddler, Elaina Steinfurth, appeared in Toledo Municipal Court Monday morning for her third courtroom appearance.

It was another quick appearance for Angela Steinfurth. Her child endangering charges were transferred over to Lucas County Common Pleas Court for the next step.

Toledo police officers presented evidence to a grand jury Monday, and members decided to add a charge of obstructing justice. Steinfurth will be arraigned on the charges in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

This does not mean the charge of felony child endangerment has been dropped. In fact, more charges could be still be added.

Angela Steinfurth is facing child endangering charges after her 1-year-old Elaina went missing three weeks ago.

Family members say they are happy to see the case move forward.

"I'm happy. I'm so happy," said cousin Ginger Smith. "I hope they get to the bottom of this and they find something out real soon. We're happy. We're happy."

Nicole Collier will have more details about Steinfurth's courtroom appearance in her reports on WTOL 11 News starting at 5.
