One dead, one injured in shooting downtown

One person is dead and another has been injured in a shooting downtown early Saturday morning.

It happened at W. 3rd and Frankfort around 2:30 a.m.

Cleveland Police say a large fight broke out at closing time at Club 75 Nightclub located at 55 Public Square. The fight and the crowd moved out of Nightclub and onto the street.

During the fight, several shots were fired striking a man, 23 in the back and a woman, 21 in her ankle.

Both victims were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center.  The woman was treated for her injuries, the man died from his injuries.

Police stopped multiple individuals and autos, including a party bus in connection with the incident. Several weapons were recovered on the scene and Homicide Detectives are currently interviewing multiple individuals.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216-252-7463 or Text messaging to Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).

    Sylvania police are searching for a man who has been missing since Wednesday. Police say 82-year-old Charles Fackelman was last seen at the VFW Post 2898 on west Alexis Road in Toledo around 8 p.m. Fackelman is described as a white male standing at five feet five inches and weighing 158 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.
