(Toledo News Now) - Fruit with Lime Simple Syrup
Simple syrup is good to have on hand to sweeten drinks like iced tea and lemon or limeade or to stir into iced coffee. It ends the never dissolving sugar syndrome in iced drinks and it also slows the juice from seeping out of cut berries and pooling at the bottom of a bowl. The following are recipes are for three variations of simple syrup. Mainly it is just water and sugar brought to a boil, lowered to a simmer and cooked for 5 minutes in all case. Cool and store in the refrigerator.
