NAPOLEON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Eachmonth, dozens of people in Napoleon have their power shut off after beingunable to pay their bills. Now, there's a new effort to keep that fromhappening.

Thecity is teaming up with local charities to help more families pay their bills. The program will start within the next couple months.

WhenNapoleon residents pay their utility bills, they'll have the option to round upto the next dollar. The extra change will be pooled together and donated by thecity to a local organization that already helps families in need.

"Weknow that we have people struggling out there," said City Manager Jon Bisher. "Thismight be a way that our utility could actually help in funding of thoseprograms."

Thecity is still working out the details and choosing a charity to work with.
