West Toledo intersection reopens after power lines fall

Jackman Road at Barrows Street in west Toledo has reopened following an accident in which a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole.
After a truck crashed into a utility pole in west Toledo, the pole fell, bringing power lines with it.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Jackman Road at Barrows Street in west Toledo has reopened following an accident in which a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole.

According to officials on scene, the truck hit a utility pole and knocked it into Jackman Road, bringing overhead wires along with it. Then right after, a car traveling in the opposite direction was drawn into the crash.

Each driver was taken to the hospital. The driver of the car says she sustained injuries to her head, neck and back, but has been treated and released. The condition of the other driver is currently unknown.

Toledo Edison was on the scene working on repairs, and reopened the area after about two hours. Officials assumed there was a power outage but couldn't confirm it.

Officials are still investigating what caused the initial crash.
