Cross-country bike ride for cancer stops in Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A group of young adults biking to fight cancer made a stop in northwest Ohio on Sunday.

28 people are bicycling from Baltimore to Seattle to raise money for the Ulman cancer fund. They are stopping in communities along the way.

The group left Sandusky at 8am Sunday from the United Church of Christ, and got to the Summit YMCA around 6pm. They will leave Toledo on Monday morning at 8am, headed for Ann Arbor.

The riders typically pedal between 50 and 120 miles a day and the entire trip will take about 70 days.

The team's goal is to raise money and awareness for the Ulman Cancer Fund, which provides support and resources for young people and their families affected by cancer.
