MONROE COUNTY, MI (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo man was arrested after police chased him across the state line on Friday night.

The Monroe County Sheriff's office says the 28-year-old Point Place man was being chased by Toledo and Washington Township Police heading toward Monroe County.

The chase continued into Erie Township and eventually Bedford Township.

Police say the man avoided stop sticks at Samaria and Minx Roads and eventually lost control of his vehicle at Summerfield Road where he crashed into a ditch.

After crashing, the man tried running into the woods.

Police then tasered the man and took him into custody.

His name was not released.

Drugs are believed to be a factor.
