A teen has been indicted as an adult for the murder of a teenage girl, including the death of her unborn child.

Anthony Ruiz, 17, has been indicted on two counts of murder, felony assault, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.

Court records say he shot Jennifer Zacarias, 16, on West 102nd Street and Thrush Avenue back in February. Zacarias, whom was pregnant, was killed in her backyard.

The records do not indicate why there is a robbery charge.

Ruiz was 16 at the time of the deadly shooting, but he's just been indicted in adult court.

Jennifer's family tells 19 Action News that Ruiz was her boyfriend.
