Man accused of shaking, dropping & biting an infant

WILLIAMSBURG, OH (FOX19) -

A 19-year-old was arrested after he allegedly shook, dropped and bit an 8-month-old.

According to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Dakota Doss called 911 to report that his girlfriend's baby was choking and having difficulty breathing. He performed CPR on the baby until emergency crews arrived at the home.

It happened on June 2 in the 3700 block of Cobb Road in Williamsburg.

The baby was taken to a nearby hospital then transferred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, determined to have a brain bleed, multiple bruising and a human bite mark on her inner left thigh.

Authorities say Doss and the baby's mother, Katrina Parker, had been dating for the past five months.  At the time of the 911 call, Doss was home alone babysitting the 8-month-old while the mother was at work. 

Investigators believe that prior to dialing 911, Doss shook, dropped, and bit the baby.   

Doss was then arrested and charged with child endangering, a second degree felony. 

This case has been handed over to the Clermont County Prosecutor's Office.
