(Toledo News Now) - As seen on 'Your Morning Saturday,' Nathan Drendel, a wellness dietician with ProMedica, demonstrates a couple of healthy eating options for the hot summer months.
Recipes include 'banana' ice cream, with granola and chocolate toppings, and shark bite shrimp.
Shark Bite Shrimp Recipe
(enough for roughly 8 people based on 1/4 pound servings):
2-3 pounds of shrimp
5 Tbsp. Light Mayo
3 Tbsp. Sweet Thai Chili Sauce
1 tsp. Sriracha
1/4 diced scallions
1. Lightly pepper the shrimp with black pepper, grill until cooked thoroughly but try not to overcook the shrimp (they get rubbery really quickly!)
2. As the shrimp are grilling, combine Shark Bite Sauce ingredients in a small mixing bowl, mix thoroughly and refrigerate until your shrimp are grilled.
3. Slather the grilled/cooked shrimp with the sauce and serve immediately, enjoy!
