(Toledo News Now) -

This is a picture of Allison Herr. She stopped by the station Friday to give me this framed picture.

Allison had a liver transplant when she was 2. She is 10 now, and as you can clearly see, she is a beautiful, young girl. She is funny and charming, and has a wonderful smile.

She thanked WTOL 11 for supporting the Green Chair Organ Donation event this spring.

I am going to hang her picture in my office. Every time I look at it I will smile. It will help me remember that some days are not as dark as they seem, and some weights are not as heavy as they might feel.

By the way, Allison threw out the first pitch at a Mud Hens game this weekend. I think that's pretty cool.

The recent decision of ProMedica's Board of Trustees to enter into a transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, Toledo's last remaining abortion facility, just doesn't make sense.
