(Toledo News Now) -

A viewer mentioned to me that she sees WTOL 11 anchors Chrys Peterson and Jerry Anderson hosting a lot of charity events. She also sees other WTOL 11 on-air personalities involved with a wide range of causes and events. She asked me if these are paid appearances. Good question. They are not.

Volunteering to help make this a better place to live is part of the deal.

We are blessed with a huge audience that is unfailingly compassionate and generous. We do our best to support local organizations and events. We are committed to responding to emergencies and catastrophic situations, where the need is immediate and magnified by its unexpected occurrence.

WTOL 11 is fortunate to have your loyal viewership. We promise to continue to do our part to honor your trust and to respect the legacy of caring and giving. We feel lucky to be in a position to help.

The recent decision of ProMedica's Board of Trustees to enter into a transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, Toledo's last remaining abortion facility, just doesn't make sense.
