The Toledo Zoo offers great reasons to be your family's summer destination. Here is a list of upcoming events for the month of June.


Daily Through Sept. 2: Natural Feeding and Enrichment Demos - Times vary

See your favorite zoo animals chow down all summer long. Experience animal-feeding demonstrations and enrichment throughout the zoo. Visit the zoo's website for a complete schedule.


June 1: Lucas Turns 2 - 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Come celebrate the second birthday of Lucas the elephant calf. Watch him get presents at 10:30 a.m. and eat - or destroy - cake at 1:30 p.m. The event is free with regular zoo admission. 


June 7: Vineyard Adventure - 7–9 p.m.

Ages 21 and up can enjoy a delectable mix of winetasting, hors d'oeuvres, live music and socializing along the dynamic, new Wild Walkabout. Advance tickets required.


June 14: ZootoDo - 6 p.m.–midnight

This chic "tuxedoes and tennis shoes" affair mixes outstanding food served by more than 50 regional restaurants and catering services with fantastic live entertainment throughout an after-hours zoo. There is a separate fee for this event, with advance tickets required. On June 14, the historic side of the Toledo Zoo will close at 2:30 p.m. to prepare for ZOOtoDO.


June 15: Science Day - 10 a.m.–4 p.m.                                 

Explore the fun of hands-on science in Nature's Neighborhood, the Toledo Zoo's award-winning children's zoo. Free with regular admission.


June 15: Family Snooze -  Saturday Evening–Sunday Morning

Snooze at the Toledo Zoo! June's Snooze celebrates the dads of animal kingdom. Meet some cool animals, munch on great food, get exclusive tours and spend the night, too.


June 16: Father's Day At The Zoo - 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Dads, get free admission when you visit with your little ones. Games and activities are free with regular zoo admission. For a separate fee, enjoy a special BBQ lunch.


June 10–Aug. 16: Summer Safari Camps - Times vary

This summer, don't just go to camp, go on safari. The Toledo Zoo offers wild opportunities for campers ages 4-14 for a separate fee.


June 19: Watch It Grow Garden Tour - 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Learn how to make the most of your vegetable and herb garden for free with regular zoo admission. No reservations are needed. Meet at the Conservatory.


June 27: Darius Rucker Concert - 7 p.m.

Country music sensation Darius Rucker brings his True Believers tour to Toledo. Order tickets in person at the zoo or Ticketmaster, or by phone at 800-745-3000.


The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail just south of downtown Toledo. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.
