TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Five students from a Toledo Public School were arrested early Thursday morning after vandalizing the school as part of a prank, which police and school officials say went too far.

When officers arrived at Bowsher High School around 2:30 a.m. they found five students running out the building.

Jayson Boose, Richard Price, Scott Shores, Lavelle Tompkins and a minor were apprehended.

Boose resisted orders several times, but officers eventually took him to the ground. According to the police report, once on the ground, Boose still refused orders so an officer used stun gun techniques on his head to make him comply. After further struggle, Boose was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Boose and Price face charges of vandalism, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Shores and Tompkins face charges of vandalism.

The police report also says all five suspects were discussing the incident and did not deny being inside the school. When police entered the school, they found baby oil, bird seed, broken eggs and other signs of vandalism throughout the building.

The mess was cleaned up by the time school started, but TPS officials say this type of prank is not accepted in their schools.

"If the three students are taken to an expulsion hearing and they are found guilty of vandalism, they could be expelled. And if they're expelled, their graduation would be in jeopardy," explained Assistant Superintendent Brian Murphy.

Shores, Boose, Tompkins and Price were booked into the Lucas County Jail. The minor was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
