Limberios' death ruled suicide again

LUCAS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The family of Jake Limberios says they have received the report for yet another autopsy conducted on Jake.

The report came from the Lucas County Coroner's Office, which says Dr. Cynthia Beisser performed the most recent autopsy and rules the 19-year-old's cause of death as suicide.

The original ruling made by the Sandusky County coroner for Limberios' shooting death in March 2012, was also consistent with suicide.

Attorney Dan McGookey, for the Limberios family, says they have a big concern with the findings. The family is still looking for his death to be changed to a homicide.

McGookey says the current result contradicts the original two rulings. In the autopsy report, Beisser states the direction of fire was right to left. Previous reports state the entrance went from left to right.

Special Prosecutor Dean Henry believes this is a difference of opinion between two qualified medical professionals. He says they still would like to look at the tissue samples held by Dr. Cyril Wecht, who was hired by the Limberios family to perform the first autopsy. Henry says the tissue sample could possibly give a better scientific conclusion to the case.

In the meantime, McGookey says they will continue to investigate on behalf of the Limberios family.

Anyone with information about Jacob Limberios' death is asked to contact Det. Sean O'Connel with the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office.
