Penta students celebrate year of hard work at building unveiling

PEMBERVILLE, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A new 22-hundred square foot soccer building at Eastwood Schools was unveiled on Sunday.

It was the culmination of an entire school-year's worth of hard work.

It was built by 100 construction students from Penta Career Center.

The building includes a storage unit, concession stand, two bathrooms and a press box.

The district provided the materials, the students provided the labor, for free.

"Not only are they building a structure, they're also building confidence and teamwork skills. They're learning skills but, also a lot more," said instructor Rob Weaver, of the Penta Career Center.

Students at Penta build at least one large project each school year.

In most years, the structure is a house.
