Driver, passenger hurt in motorcycle accident with a deer

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two people were injured after being ejected from a motorcycle Tuesday night in Washington Township.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Dennis Norris, of Fostoria, was driving his Harley Davidson on SR 12, when a deer ran into the roadway just east of TR 262.

Norris struck the deer, losing control of his motorcycle and sliding onto the left side of the road.

Both Norris and his passenger, 55-year-old Joyce Griffin, of Fostoria, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by EMS.

Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The accident is currently under investigation.

An update on Norris and Griffin's medical status has not been released.
