The Hancock Historical Museum, 422 W. Sandusky Street, is offering free admission on Saturday, May 18, from 10am-4pm.

The free day is in celebration of International Museum Day.

Museum staff and volunteers will give tours of the historic Hull-Flater House, Crawford Log House, and Agricultural Building.

The Little Red Schoolhouse and Riverside Train, at the corner of SR 568 and CR 236, will also be open for tours and free rides.

Several other area museums will offer free admission as well. The Hancock Historical Museum, Mazza Museum, Black Heritage Library & Multicultural Center, and the McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods will be open to the public at no cost on May 18.

Guests of Docents at the Mazza Museum can visit the White Discovery Loft, view more than 8,000 pieces of Mazza art in the vault,  and stop by the Children's Art Studio to create their own work of art.

Docent at the Mazza Museum is located in the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion, on the campus of the University of Findlay.

Global artifacts are on display at the Black Heritage Library & Multicultural Center, 817 Harmon Street. A Smithsonian aviation exhibit is on display, along with culture events including storytelling, reenactments, musical performances, and refreshments.

Visitors of the historic McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods, 6100 US Route 224,  will be able to play 19th century games, taste period food, listen to folk music and practice calligraphy.

Museum volunteers will show what life was like in early Hancock County.
