TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A man accused of stealing property in multiple counties then selling it on Craigslist is expected to go on trial beginning Monday morning.

A Lucas County grand jury indicted Walter Polus on three felony counts of burglary. He is accused of breaking into homes in Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties.

Authorities say Polus took thousands of dollars worth of items, such as purses, wallets, checks, power tools, computers and snow blowers.

Polus is accused of trying to sell the stolen items on Craigslist. He was arrested when police set up a fake meeting to buy some of the goods.

A large amount of the stolen property was recovered by the Lucas County Sheriff's Office and Waterville Township Police Department.

Out of 29 items in the sheriff's office, 22 were returned to their owner.
