OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Five new people have been questioned in the sex case against former Clay High School athletic trainer, Melinda Rober.

Rober and her attorney, Stephen Hartman, attended a meeting Friday at the Oregon Police Station with Oregon detectives and Lucas County prosecutors. Hartman said Rober wanted to arrange the meeting so she could clear up some information.

"We had that meeting because it was Mrs. Rober's desire to fully cooperate with the investigation, as she has done from the beginning," said Hartman.

Rober, 35, was an athletic trainer for Clay High School. She is accused of having sexual relations with two Clay students.

Police say they have questioned 13 former and current students. They have all denied having any form of sexual relations with Rober.

"There are some wild accusations out there, many of them coming from people who don't have any idea about the case," said Hartman.

Hartman hopes the meeting will help with their case once the investigation is complete.

"Mrs. Rober made the decision to cooperate form the start and that will hopefully result in some kind of agreed resolution," said Hartman.

It is a resolution Hartman says Rober wants to see.

"She's incredibility remorseful. She's not a monster. She's not a predator. She's a good person," defended Hartman.

The case is still under investigation but Oregon police say it could go to the Lucas County grand jury as early as next week.
