CORRYVILLE, OH (FOX19) -

The food truck trend has gone into overdrive as of lately. A company is now giving you the chance to enjoy the phenomenon with your dog.

Chef Michael's Food Truck for Dogs is offering a one-of-a-kind experience for pet owners and their dogs.

During an event dubbed 'Food Trucks for Fido' at the Dogtown Cincinnati store, visitors will enjoy a delicious meal, as well as a meal for their dog.

The first 100 people to visit the Food Trucks for Dogs will receive a 'thoughtful meal experience' for their dog, as well as a complementary dinner the day of the event from a participating food truck, including C'est Cheese and Sugarsnap!

Organizers say in 2012, the Chef Michael's brand noticed that dogs were 'underserved at the curb'. As a result, they created a food truck to treat both owners and their furry friends.

Due to an overwhelming response, the Food Truck for Dogs plans to visit 14 additional cities in 2013, including Cincinnati.

Food Trucks for Fido is planned for Thursday, May 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Dogtown Cincinnati, located at 2519 Burnet Avenue.

Toledo has a long and storied history of hockey in the city going back to the first team, the Toledo Mercurys, who played their first season in 1947-48. Other iterations included the Blades, the Hornets, the Goaldiggers and the Storm. For a short time, in 1949-50, the team was actually called the Toledo Buckeyes.
