Steady stream of Perrysburg voters Tuesday morning

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Residents of Perrysburg arrived at Ft. Meigs Elementary school bright and early Tuesday morning for Election Day.

This year there are several levies for local schools and other issues affecting our viewing area, but one of the biggest issues on the ballot will be the push for renewed public transportation in the city of Perrysburg.

The five year .85 mill levy is expected to cost a $200,000 homeowner approximately $4.00 a month for the dial-a-ride service.

Canvassers spent Saturday knocking on doors, passing out literature and drumming up support for the levy.

According to representatives with the League of Women Voters, some residents are optimistic the levy will pass this year, after having failed in past years.

Amanda St. Hilaire reports live from Ft. Meigs Elementary on the electronic voting process on 'Your Morning.'
