$60K worth of heroin, marijuana, Rx pills seized on I-75

FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two Michigan women are facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized heroin, marijuana, and hundreds of prescription pills, worth an estimated $60,000, during a traffic stop in Hancock County Wednesday.

Troopers stopped a 2003 Saturn Aura for a registration violation on Interstate 75 near milepost 155 at 1:38 a.m. Upon contact with the driver, troopers detected an odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle.

During a probable cause search, of both the driver and passenger, troopers located 129 Hydrocodone pills, 181 Xanax pills, 114 Carisoprodol pills, 136 grams of heroin and 54 grams of marijuana.

The driver, Sharhonda Brantley, 24, and passenger Danielle Coleman, 20, both of Detroit, were incarcerated in the Hancock County Justice Center.

They have been charged with the following:

-Possession of heroin, a first-degree felony

-Possession of schedule III and IV drug, both fifth-degree felonies

-Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, both minor misdemeanors

If convicted, each could face up to 12 years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
