RALEIGH, NC (AP) - -

A North Carolina political strategist who worked for high-profile Democratic candidates has died from stab wounds.

A spokesman for WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh said Wednesday morning that 29-year-old Jameson Kirk Hahn, an Orangeburg native, had died from her injuries.

Hahn and her 27-year-old husband Nation Hahn were stabbed at their home Monday night.

Nation Hahn was released after being treated for his injuries.

A friend of the couple, 31-year-old Jonathan Broyhill, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Broyhill also was charged With assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

He also was injured and was being treated at the hospital.

A wedding announcement in a South Carolina newspaper listed Broyhill as the best man at the couple's wedding in 2009.

A memorial service is planned for Jameson Hahn on Saturday in Raleigh.

Raleigh police continue to investigate the attack.
