Update: Jimmy Haslam investigation

Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J and Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J and Cleveland Browns owner

Our Cleveland Browns are on the practice field getting ready for the upcoming season but owner, Jimmy Haslam, has bigger concerns right now -- an FBI raid on his company.

19 Action News reporter Scott Taylor discovered this isn't the first time the Haslam family has popped up on the radar of top law enforcement officials.

A total of four search warrants were served at Jimmy Haslam's Pilot Flying J company headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday.

In 2009 the Haslam family settled lawsuits in connection with price gouging allegations by the Tennessee Attorney General and two other states.

Right now the criminal investigation centers around claims Pilot didn't pay back cash rebates to some of it's trucking company customers.

"I don't know the exact amount I don't want to quote things and be wrong. We are still looking but we believe it to be a low number, let me just say that," said Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J.

We also learned that Jimmy Haslam's company leases space to video poker gaming companies at some of their travel centers in Louisiana, Montana and Georgia.

Pilot doesn't profit from the machines, they only lease the space.

Pilot is also leasing space to a slot machine company in their travel centers in Nevada.

Meantime, mini camp just started in Berea and Haslam has a message for his Cleveland Browns.

"I talked to Joe, Alex. Mike and Chudz and they are great," said Haslam.

Jimmy Halsam continues to say he believes his company has done nothing wrong. We expect him to be in Cleveland sometime tomorrow.
