TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police appealed to the public on Facebook Wednesday, hoping for new information in a murder that happened more than nine months ago.

Anthony Fizer was shot and killed on the porch of his Winfield Road home on the night of December 10. Police released surveillance photos of the crime back in April, but have still not gotten enough information to find those responsible.

Police say Fizer had just returned to his home around 7:30 p.m. and was approached from behind by two men who tried to rob him. Fizer was shot multiple times and died at the hospital.

On Wednesday, an officer operating the TPD Facebook page said in part "This is an extremely grainy surveillance photo taken of the two suspects as they committed the crime. I'm a realist and don't expect anyone to be able to identify the suspects based solely on looking at this photo. I do, however, believe that someone in our community has information about this crime and/or about these suspects. Someone knows who was responsible for this horrific crime and it is time for them to step forward and do the right thing."

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
