Go Blue? A Buckeye fan's dilemma

Do you ever root for "The Enemy" when your favorite team's biggest rival plays for a national title?

(Toledo News Now) - For the past 12 years, the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry has produced many fun moments at the Lucas County Treasurer's office between Buckeye backer Joe Beckler and Wolverine fan Jamie Durham.

"Every year whether it's football or basketball, we play tricks on each other," says Beckler. "My firsy day actually at the office when I sat down at my desk to log into my computer they had my password already set as Buckeyes," says Durham. "My oldest brother, Jim Durham, played baseball at University of Michigan and I was batboy."

Even though his office is a mini-shrine to the scarlet and grey, for one night only Beckler is cheering on the maize and blue, as they're playing for a national championship.

"I'm for Michigan all the way. My father-in-law captained at Michigan in football, so I have some roots there. Our Buckeyes couldn't get it done. Michigan has played well, they've had some close ones, but they're representing the Big Ten so we've got to root for them tonight."

When asked if Ohio State was playing for the title instead of Ohio State, Durham replied, "I would totally be rooting for Ohio State."
