A Rossford man was arraigned Monday, after threatening to shoot his co-workers last week.
Timothy Artz is facing the charges after a bizarre situation at a Toledo hospital. Police say he was taking a drug test at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center when he said, "I'm so mad. I'm going to get my gun and shoot everyone at the company."
The company police say he was referring to is Treu House of Munch, Inc. in Northwood.
The hospital called police and officers came and arrested him.
Artz has been charged with inducing panic and threatening violence.
His bond was set at $2,500.
At Mercy, we take the health and safety of our patients, their families, our employees and the community at large seriously. When another person is threatening harm to themselves or to others we will act accordingly to ensure safety for all.
Earlier today a gentleman came into Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for an outpatient services appointment. Upon leaving, he made remarks deemed threatening to our staff regarding his place of employment.
As such, Mercy contacted the local law enforcement agencies and he was arrested for inciting panic.
We thank the local law enforcement agencies for their cooperation. We trust the courts will fulfill the judicial process.
