BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

More good news on the auto front: A local dealership is planning to expand and add jobs.

Construction is well underway on three of the five Thayer Family dealerships in Bowling Green. Thayer Chevrolet is currently being remodeled, and their Toyota and Honda locations are getting entirely new facilities.

Not only are they trying to create a more customer-friendly environment for their community, but they say they'll be creating at least 15 more jobs.

"We'll have about five new jobs at each location, both in sales and service," explained Rachael Thayer. "At our Honda location, we're doubling our service capacity, so that will add a bunch of jobs there."

The projects are expected to be done mid-summer, depending on weather.

Thayer said each of the 15 jobs will be entirely new, and they won't be hiring from within.

"All the jobs will be from outside, and we will need to fill those positions, so that process has started," she said.

The new facilities will also include Wi-Fi and charging stations for electric vehicles. Thayer said everyone is excited and the community has been incredibly supportive.
