NEW FRANKLIN, OH (WOIO) -

Two people were found dead in a home in a quiet New Franklin community Tuesday, and their deaths are being investigated as a double homicide, police said.

The deaths were reported at 2:22 p.m. 4488 at Rex Lake Drive.

According to New Franklin Police, crews doing some remodeling work called 911 to report the deaths.

Police confirmed that Jeffery Schobert, 56, and his wife Margaret, 59, were found inside the home deceased.

Mayor Al Bollas tells 19 Action News that he knows for sure that their deaths were not a murder-suicide and believes the killings may be related to another case from earlier this year.

A neighbor told 19 Action News reporter George Smith that Schobert was prominent lawyer and that he and his wife lived in the home, along with their two daughters.
