Arts Commission to beautify Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Toledo Arts Commission hopes to beautify the city through new billboards and sidewalks.

Officials plan to incorporate the work of local artists.

Digital billboards on display along Monroe Street will flash the works of area artists beginning in May.

Artists interested in submitting their work have until April 30 to apply.

Sidewalks throughout Toledo will be repaved with poetry stamped into the concrete.

Local poets can apply to have their work included until the deadline on April 10.

Mallory Moore takes a closer look at the upcoming project with Nathan Mattimoe, of the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, on 'Your Morning.'

You can find more details on how to submit on the Arts Commission website.
