Construction shuts down 2 main roads into Rossford

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It's springtime in Ohio, which means construction. In Rossford, three major sewer line projects have shut down two main roads.

On Superior, a new water line is going in. Near the high school, Glenwood at Superior is completely shut down for a new sewer line. And on Glenwood at Wales, crews have Wales Road closed off to put in a new clean well and pumping station.

Although they may be causing drivers headaches, the projects are necessary.

"These are projects that are long overdue, and will improve water pressure inside the City of Rossford," said City Administrator Edward Ciecka. "And more importantly, it will also alleviate a sanitary sewage overflow that occurred into the Maumee River."

The projects are expected to last between three weeks and 60 days.
