ODOT construction to affect Wood County drivers

Several road constructions projects are underway throughout the area, affecting local drivers.

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - Several area road projects could affect drivers during commute hours.

Weather permitting, Bates Road Bridge, in Wood County, is closed for approximately three weeks for repair work.

Replacing bridge bearings will cost $115,340.

Lane restrictions are possible, but contractors are required to have most lanes open during peak travel times.

Detours have been set up at Buck Road, Lime City Road and Mandell Road.

Amanda St. Hilaire reports live from Bates Road on 'Your Morning' with details.

Swanton Township is hosting a public meeting to discuss changes at a local intersection.

The meeting is planned for 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Swanton Township Hall.

An ODOT representative will be there to answer questions about the work planned for the intersection of Airport Highway and State Route 295, right outside of the Toledo Express Airport.
