Driver flees after hitting teen pedestrian in Swanton Twp.

SWANTON TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating an injury crash involving a young pedestrian that happened Wednesday night on state Route 295 near Soul Road in Swanton Township.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was walking northbound off the right side of the roadway when a dark-colored pickup truck with a loud exhaust struck her with the passenger-side mirror. The girl fell to the ground, but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup continued northbound and did not stop.

No other information about the vehicle could be provided by the victim.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to contact the Toledo Post at 419-895-0910.
